Entry #11: Final Blog Reflection

Hello my fierce warriors, I am back again for the last time. I know it's sad, but my time here has been great and I have loved each any every entry I discussed, and I am more than honored with the feedback I have gotten during this time. I want to take this time to talk to future English students that will get to experience the blogging process. First off let me start by saying blogging is not easy, but it also is not that complex if you take the time to develop a great entry. I did not care too much for the blogging process in the beginning, but eventually I realized it would be smart of me to take it seriously so I don't fail the class, and once I started taking it seriously I found it to be quite soothing to the human mind.

Blogging can bring you a sense of accomplishment and peace. It can help you reach hundreds and maybe thousands of people out there that are struggling with something. You can save a life just by posting a blog that means something to them. Blogging also helps improve someones writing skills, I say this because any piece of writing you do in English is graded based on content and rhetoric, therefore blogging helps you constantly improve your writing skills.

The challenges of blogging can simply be deduced to lack of ideas to write about, or not knowing where to start with your ideas. Additionally, the commenting portion of blogging can be tricky if you do not respond with a sufficient comment. Before you ask, no an emoji or simply saying "I agree/disagree" is not a sufficient comment. Be thoughtful and constructive commenting on other blogs because you would not want someone to half-ass comment on your blog post. If there is half-ass commenting nobodys writing would improve. Blogging as a student taught me that media can be used for educational and positive reasons, and not just for likes and comments.

Blogging made me look at assignments in a different light. The assigned entries are the most effective because they are structured based upon the writing project being assigned at the time. Once you did the research for your assigned entry it gave a better understanding of the purpose of your writing project. I learned more about my writing projects from doing blogs than any other worksheet given to me.

With all things considered, blogging was the best experience I have had because it helped me improve my writing and it helped to have an outlet to channel my thoughts and ideas. I would advise you newbies to take the blog project seriously all the time and give it your best shot because your grade depends on it. Even those of you who hate writing in general, don't think of it as writing for class just think of it as posting on another form of social media you have. Don't forget to give decent comments your peers blog entries, and lastly turn them in on time all the time! I hope all of you have a great semester and I hope my loyal fans have a great day! I want to say Happy Holidays to all!! Stay Beautiful!
